Aanchal Singh started her career in the entertainment industry after getting an advertisement offer for Dena Bank. After that, she started working in advertising while pursuing her graduation.
She has done more than 300 commercials which include national and international advertisements. Asian Paints, Dabur Fame Bleach, Ponds, Garnier, Vivel, Malabar Gold, Jose Alukkas and Hyundai are among the brands that Aanchal has advertised for. Aanchal has also been featured on the cover of Femina and has appeared in several print advertisements for companies such as Coke, Pepsi, Amway, Lays, Horlicks and others. His career in the film industry
Aanchal Singh made her big debut in Sri Lankan cinema in the year 2013 when she was offered the role of Princess Yashodhara in the film “Shri Siddhartha Gautama”. The film was released in around 20 countries and was dubbed into several languages including Hindi, Mandarin, Thai and Vietnamese. His work in the film was praised.
In 2013 she got the role of Riya in the film Ramiya Vastavaiya. She then appeared in the lead roles in the Telugu film Dhillukku Dhuddu (2016) and the Punjabi film Zakhmi (2020).

- When Aanchal Singh was shooting for her Tamil film Dhillukku Dhuddu, she was suggested to change her name to Shanaya. She was fine with it as long as it didn’t lead to a misunderstanding. In an interview she said
This was my first film in Tamil and when the team suggested me to change the name, I was fine with it. But after that I was not getting the right kind of films, and when I was wondering why I came to know that people got confused as they thought Aanchal and Shanaya were two different actresses. I used to get calls asking if I knew Shanaya because we looked alike
