Ankush Bhardwaj was born on 11 December 1992 in Kotgarh, a small village in Kumarsain subdivision of Shimla district, Himachal Pradesh. He did his schooling from Hainault Public School, Shimla. Ankush did his Bachelor of Commerce from Rajiv Gandhi Government Degree College, Shimla in 2014. After that, he did his Masters of Business Administration from Amity University, Noida. He completed his post-graduation in 2017. Ankush took training from The Channa Music Academy in Shimla. His mentor was Vinod Channa, an expert in classical, semi-classical and folk music.

Keratoconus – an eye disorder
Ankush Bhardwaj was diagnosed with an eye disorder called Keratoconus at the age of six. Keratoconus is a disorder that leads to sensitivity to light and blurred vision. He consulted some doctors from Shimla and went for surgery in Chandigarh. After his unsuccessful attempt at surgery in Chandigarh, he consulted Dr. Nitin Bedi, Ojas Eye Hospital, Bandra. Ankush performed both C3R and Intake surgeries at Ojas Hospital. After that surgery, the doctors assured him that 70 percent of his eyes had already recovered and that his eyesight would soon recover completely.

In 2011, he participated in the ‘Voice of Himalaya’ event and was one of the finalists. After that he became the first runner up of ‘Himachal ki Awaaz’ event. He performed in various music festivals in Shimla like Kishore Kumar Nights, Rafi Nights, etc. Ankush has won the Sangam Sur Sangeet Ka (Season 1) singing competition in 2013 and this competition was organized by Cedar Productions in Himachal Pradesh. Later, he became one of the top 10 contestants in Benadryl Big Golden Voice (Season 4). Amaal Maliki And Armaan Malik Praised Ankush in this show. He sang the song ‘Sab Badiya Hai’ for the movie “Sui Dhaaga”. In 2019, she sang the title song, ‘Ek Chup Tum, Ek Chup Main’ for the television show “Isharon Ishaaron Mein”. This title track is available on SonyLIV streaming platform. After that he also became the guest of two episodes of Indian Idol season 11.
