Ava first made an appearance in 2014 through the Lifetime Season 4 dance reality show Dance Moms. She appeared on the show for the next three years. She participated in another dance reality show So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation in 2016. She dropped out in the first episode because of her height.
She appeared in two episodes of the American television soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful for Forester Model in the year 2018. In the same year she starred in several short films and films, such as This Is Me, Mama Mia! And a Christmas dinner. Ava got her first lead role as Jodi Creman in the Netflix comedy Tall Girl.
