Ayesha Kapoor was born on 13 September 1994 and raised in Auroville, Puducherry. Her father is a Punjabi entrepreneur Dilip Kapoor. He is the owner of the Hydesign chain of leather goods stores. Her mother is a German-born girl named Jacqueline Milan, her brother and he is her only true brother, and Akash and Vikas are her half-brothers from her father’s first marriage. Along with Hindi, she is trilingual, having grown up speaking English, German and Tamil.

At the age of nine, Ayesha started her career as a child artist with the Bollywood film Black, as young Michelle McNally where she starred alongside Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan. She received the 51st Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance, setting a record for being the world’s youngest female nominee and winner of the award.
In 2009, she appeared in the Indian crime drama film, Sikandar, where she played the role of a young Muslim girl from Kashmir, the film was directed by Piyush Jha.
In 2023, she will be seen in the film Hari Om, directed by Harish Vyas, The star cast of the film includes Soni Razdan, Anshuman Jha, Raghubir Yadav and many more.
