Cedric McMillan was an American IFBB professional bodybuilder and United States Army instructor. Famous for his handsome physique, Macmillan was one of the leading bodybuilders in the world. He died of a heart attack on April 12, 2022, at the age of 44.

He did his primary schooling at Clinton Elementary School. As a child, he was fascinated by the muscular physique and was often attracted to comic characters who had extraordinary physiques. He grew up admiring 7x Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger; Macmillan became a huge fan of Schwarzenegger after seeing him in Conan the Barbarian. When he was thirteen years old, his mother, knowing about his passion for the sport, gifted him a weight set. Soon, he began his training in weightlifting and realized that he had good genetics for bodybuilding.
Cedric attended Andrew Jackson High School from 1994 to 1996. After graduating from high school, McMillan moved to Lancaster, South Carolina, where he joined the US Army.
Shortly after, Macmillan’s friend Mark Neill convinced her to take part in a bodybuilding competition. Neil encouraged him to learn the basics of bodybuilding and helped him achieve the proper weight and shape.

Cedric Macmillan was married to Eva Matulesi Macmillan. He had four children with Eva.
McMillan began his career as a US Army soldier in 1997. Thereafter, he served in the US Army in various capacities. In 2022, he was commissioned into the US Army as a Sergeant First Class (SFC). Cedric also served as an instructor at Fort Jackson, SC.
Cedric McMillan began his bodybuilding career in 2007 by participating in the NPC South Carolina. He competed in the Super Heavyweight category and took first place. In 2008, he entered the NPC Junior USA Championships and won the competition. Subsequently, we participated in many popular bodybuilding championships such as the NPC National Championship (2009), Europa Dallas Pro (2010), and New York Pro (2011).
A top-notch open division bodybuilder, McMillan was credited with 8 Pro victories to his credit. He earned his first Pro Card in 2009. Cedric’s most notable win was the 2017 Arnold Classic Ohio, where he got the chance to meet his idol Arnold Schwarzenegger, who praised him for his classic physique. Despite setting up a bar at the Arnold Classic Ohio, McMillan was considered a poor performer in the Mr. Olympia finals.
Cedric last participated in the 2020 Arnold Classic Ohio in which he was placed sixth.
Cedric McMillan died of a heart attack on April 12, 2022. Reportedly, he suffered a heart attack while he was on the treadmill. Confirming the news of his death, Black Skull USA, a supplement company that sponsors Macmillan, took to Instagram and wrote,
We are sorry to inform you that our friend and brother @cedricmcmillan passed away today. Cedric will be greatly missed as an athlete, comrade, friend and father.”

McMillan previously talked about his heart problems. In 2021, he was suffering from COVID-19 and experienced some breathing problems. Eventually, he was taken to the hospital with pneumonia and was put on life support.
Although he recovered from the disease after some time, he delayed his return to competitive bodybuilding due to health issues. In 2022, a few months before his death, McMillan announced that he was planning to return to the sport soon.
