Darshan Nalakande is an Indian player who plays for the Vidarbha cricket team as well as the Indian under-19 team. He is a fast bowler who bats with the right hand. Darshan is best known for his fast bowling in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20I against Karnataka where he took four wickets in four consecutive balls in the last over, despite his team Vidarbha losing the match by 4 runs. He was first included in IPL 2019 by Punjab Kings.
Birth and early life
Darshan Nalkande was born on 4 October 1998 in Wardha, Maharashtra. His father is Girish Nalkande and his mother Sapna Nalkande is a lawyer. He also has an elder brother Gaurav Nalkande and an elder sister.
Darshan did his college education from Dr. Ambedkar College, Nagpur. He used to play cricket at home with his elder brother Gaurav, then went for summer camp at Akola Cricket Club. The coach who was impressed by his game and asked Darshan to play cricket professionally.

cricket career
Darshan started playing cricket as a bowler. He made his List-A, First Class and T20 debut while playing for Vidarbha team. Darshan made his List-A debut in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018-19 on 2 October 2018 and made his first-class debut in the Ranji Trophy 2018-19 the following month on 1 November 2018. He played T20 debut 2018-19 Syed Mushtaq Ali. Trophy 21 February 2019.
IPL career
Darshan was included in the IPL for the first time by Punjab Super Kings. He was associated with Punjab Kings from the year 2019 to 2021, but he did not get a chance to play in a single match. Later in IPL 2022, the new team Gujarat Titans brought him in their team at a base price of Rs 20 lakhs. He got a chance to play in front of his old team Punjab Kings for the first time, in this match he showed his bowling skills and took two wickets.
