, Threat to SDO of Electricity Department:
Once Dinesh threatened the SDO of the electricity department in Mawana and alleged that the SDO had collected illegal money. The SDO complained about threatening Dinesh, but the police did not register a complaint against him. Later an audio clip of Dinesh threatening the police went viral.
, Forcibly grown crops:
In 2017, Dinesh was accused of forcibly growing crops on the banks of the Ganges. Mahendra Giri, the national executive member of Nirmal Gangajan Abhiyan Samiti, Shantikunj, Haridwar, has filed an application against Dinesh and his brother for forcibly growing crops.
, Threat of transfer of police officer:
On 16 August 2018, Dinesh threatened Munendra Pal Singh, Inspector of Mawana police station, to release the arrested accused on the complaint of the accused husband. Dinesh also said that he will get the inspector transferred to Ballia.

Dinesh was accused of illegally occupying 600 bighas of land in Hapur, Mirzapur village of Mawana, Meerut.
, Resignation from party
In 2022, Dinesh attracted controversy when he offered Home Minister Amit Shah his resignation as an MLA from Uttar Pradesh’s Hastinapur constituency. He accused the officers of his own department of not following his orders as he was a Dalit. In the letter he further wrote,
I have been appointed as Minister of State in the Department of Jal Shakti under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath. Neither any action is taken on any order nor any information is given to me, nor what schemes are currently running in the department and what is happening on that etc. Because the Minister of State does not get any concrete information about the department.
