Dr. Siddhant Bhargava, better known as Dr. Sid, is an Indian ketogenic dietitian, celebrity nutritionist, doctor and entrepreneur, who is also the co-founder of ‘Food Tailor’.
Dr. Siddhant Bhargava was born in 1993 (age 28 years; by 2021) in Mumbai. He did his schooling from Jamnabai Narsee School, Mumbai. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery – MBBS from Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai (2012-17).

Dr Siddhant Bhargava rejects the traditional idea that there is no one-size-fits-all policy for meeting fitness goals. As a nutritionist, she has worked with nearly 4,500 clients to support and guide them through their weight loss journey. After completing his MBBS in 2017, he co-founded Food Tailor, a health and nutrition company that prepares customized meals based on individual dietary needs as per desired fitness goals. Bhargava began managing the kitchen operations, nutrition and social media for the business and after 4 years, it became India’s largest food and nutrition company. As a celebrity nutritionist, Dr. Sid has worked for various popular celebrities including Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Sara Ali Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Arjun Kapoor, etc.
In August 2020, Bhargava became a content creator on Instagram to inspire his followers to live a better and healthier lifestyle. In the same year, he found FeetWings, a smart wearable company that aims to provide solutions to diabetes and related complications at an affordable rate. According to Bhargava, their automated device aims to diagnose complications related to diabetes before they arise which could revolutionize the way a person with diabetes is treated.

At the age of 9, Bhargava was diagnosed with alopecia and vitiligo. With the treatment, his hair regrowed and the white spots on his skin started to fade. In 2012, he decided to become a doctor just like his father and his grandfather. In January 2016, she suddenly noticed a patch of hair falling from her head. In an interview he said,
I ran to my mother and informed her about it. I was worried. He consoled me and suggested that it could be linked to the stress that I was going through while preparing for the final exam.”
Over the next 15 days, he lost every strand of hair on his body, including his head, arms, legs and face. In an interview, he recalled,
Looking at my reflection in the mirror became painful and frightening for me. I also started losing my muscle strength and was not able to breathe properly. I didn’t understand what was happening to me.”
After a thorough examination by doctors, in April 2016, he was diagnosed with a rare, incurable autoimmune disorder called lupus, which affects many parts of the body. He was advised to take high doses of steroids to regain his muscular strength, and doctors assured him that the effects of lupus could be reduced through drugs used to treat cancer; However, this treatment through steroids and cancer drugs further damaged his immune system. As a result, he was forced to take a long break from his studies. His family advised him to take a one-year hiatus and resume once his health allowed him to study regularly, but he continued his college and was able to appear for his final exams. . Although he passed his exams, he knew that he could not practice his profession due to his health issues. He met his childhood friends and realized that they too aspired to do something in the field of food and nutrition. So he started ‘Food Darzi’ in 2017 along with his friends. According to Dr. Sid, the moment he started helping people reach their fitness goals, their health began to improve as well. In an interview he said,
Hair started growing again on my head, beard and eyelashes. I also regained my lost immunity and started looking like a normal human once again. My whole life was back on track.”
Later, in 2020, he noticed a lymph node on his neck, which grew in size over the next three months. It turned out to be cancer. In an interview he revealed,
In March 2020, a week before the lockdown was announced, lymph node thyroid cancer was found. Before the situation worsened, I was admitted to Tata Cancer Hospital for surgery. I couldn’t believe it was happening all over again.”
After multiple radiotherapy, post-surgery complications and three months of bed rest, Bhargava successfully defeated cancer in 2021.
