Farid Karachiwala was born in Mumbai. In 1993, he did his schooling from The New Era High School, Panchgani, Maharashtra. In 2000, he did BLS and LLB, a five-year course at Government Law College, Mumbai. Farid had a desire to become a lawyer since childhood. While attending college, he worked in his father’s law office, helping him decide which path he wanted to pursue in law.

After completing his law degree, Farid wanted to join a larger law firm to experience a different work culture. In 2006, he was hired by Wadia Ghandi, one of the oldest law firms in India. Later, he became a partner in the firm. In 2012, Farid opened an office in Delhi with one of Wadia Gandhi’s colleagues. In addition, he became an advocate on the record of the Supreme Court of India in 2012. He represented the central government in a case against Reliance and other companies in connection with the KG-D6 gas case, which lasted for nearly four years. In 2018, Farid joined as a partner Fareed specializes in corporate, commercial litigation and arbitration and appears regularly for banks and business houses. He has also handled dispute cases for banks and business houses in Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai, Goa, Lucknow, Kolkata and Bangalore.
