Girish started his career in the year 2002 with a TV serial called 1857 Kranti, an Indian historical drama that aired on Doordarshan National. Later in the year 2003, he appeared in the Star Plus show Khichdi, where he became famous for his role of Parminder, which was followed by Instant Khichdi (2003–2004) and Khichdi: The Movie (2010).
