Involved in the murder of Sidhu Musewala
popular punjabi singer Sidhu Musewala On 29 May 2022, he was shot dead by some unidentified assailants in his Mahindra SUV in Jawaharke village of Mansa district.

Reportedly, two cars were pulling behind Sidhu before he was shot dead. According to police officials, eight assailants attacked Moosewala and fired around 30 rounds at him with three AK-94 rifles.

Hours after the gruesome murder of the singer, Goldie Brar took to his Facebook account to share the responsibility of Moosewala’s murder with jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. Apparently, Goldie and Lawrence carry out the murder of Musewala as his name appears in the murders of Akali leader Vicky Middukhera and Goldie’s cousin Gurlal Brar. While Vicky was shot dead in Mohali in 2021, Goldie’s cousin Gurlal Brar was shot dead outside a club in Chandigarh in 2020. Goldie also alleged that Moosewala was involved in the encounter with his close aide Ankit Bhadu. Goldie wrote in her Facebook post,

After his Facebook post, Lawrence Bishnoi also claimed to have killed Sidhu Musewala through a Facebook post. He wrote,
Ram Ram Bhai Sabko… I and my brother Goldie Brar take the responsibility for the murder of Sidhu Musewala today. Whatever people say today, you helped in the murder of our brother Vicky Middukheda. Today we have avenged our brother. I called it from Jaipur and told that you have done wrong. It told me that I don’t care about anyone, do whatever you could. I also keep my arms loaded. And today we have taken justice of our brother Vicky. It is just beginning… Those who were involved in the murder were ready and what the media is saying that one-47 has been fired is absolutely wrong. Don’t run fake news. Today all our illusions have been cleared and they have died. Jai… Balkari…”
According to the police, there was an enmity between Lawrence Bishnoi and Lucky Patial gangs and the attack can be linked to this. Talking to the media, the police said,
We are probing the matter and have got some leads.”

Goldie Lawrence, who lives in Canada, was involved in running an extortion racket in Punjab at the behest of Bishnoi. In 2021, a court in Punjab’s Faridkot district issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Goldie for his involvement in the murder of Youth Congress leader Gurlal Singh Pehalwan. Reportedly, Gurlal died on the spot after being shot by two unidentified men in Faridkot. He was also accused of being involved in the double murder case of brothers Paramjeet and Surjeet (a close aide of jailed gangster Kaushal) who were killed in Gurugram in February 2022. On 11 March 2022, the Special Cell of Delhi Police arrested two sharpshooters. Kala Jatheri, Lawrence Bishnoi and Naresh Sethi gang. According to the police, Ajay Jaildar (gangster) carried out the attack to establish dominance in the illegal liquor business with the help of Kala Jatheri, Lawrence Bishnoi, Naresh Sethi and Goldie Brar. On 2 May 2022, three accomplices of Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar, identified as Lovepreet Singh alias Sachin of village Charewan, Himmatveer Singh Gill of village Jhorar and Balkaran alias Vicky of village Chak Dukhe Wala, Sri Muktsar Sahib. Hui, was arrested by the Punjab Police. Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) from Bathinda. According to the police, they were planning to attack a businessman in Malwa area to extort money from him. In April 2022, Gurpreet Singh, another associate of Goldie, was arrested by the Punjab Police from Kharar with two pistols and eight live cartridges. Apparently, Goldie had provided him with three pistols of .30 bore, .32 bore and .315 bore to increase criminal activity.

- Soon after Goldie took a picture of another man named Goldie Brar with the Punjab chief minister on his Facebook account to claim his involvement in Sidhu’s murder. Bhagwant Mannu It went viral on social media with the claim that he was the same gangster who had claimed responsibility for Moosewala’s murder.

However, the person whose picture later went viral claimed that his picture was being misused on social media. He made a Facebook post in which he wrote,
I am Goldie Brar, son of Rajinder Singh, resident of village Jandwala. In today’s tragic incident of Sidhu Musewala’s murder, my picture is being misused on social media. I will take appropriate legal action against those people.”

- Following Goldie Brar’s Facebook post, gangster Davinder Bambiha’s gang openly challenged Goldie and Lawrence Bishnoi through social media posts, taking responsibility for Sidhu Musewala’s murder. The gang had written that they would avenge Moosewala’s murder within two days. The group also wrote that Sidhu was innocent and had no links with any gangster group.
