Param Bir Singh was born on 20 June 1962 in Pawata village, Faridabad, Haryana, India. Param Bir’s real name was Param Bir Bhadana. His early childhood education was also completed in Faridabad, Haryana. Being a Tehsildar of Dad, he received his education from the best school in Amritsar, DAV International School.

He joined the Mumbai Police in 1988 as an IPS officer. He first gained fame when he was appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Crime Branch Mumbai in 1990.
