John F MacArthur Lordship of Christ
According to MacArthur, “If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord, and believe with your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9). In the 1980s, Armenians referred to accepting Jesus as Lord when it came to believing in Him as a “sovereign salvation dispute”. According to MacArthur, the doctrine of free grace cannot exist without people accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord. To be truly saved, according to Peter 2:20, “you must receive Jesus Christ, for He is both Lord and Savior.” In terms of eternal security he says, “It should never be presented as a matter of being saved only once, to be saved always – no matter what you believe or do.” Huh.”
Hebrews 12:14 makes it clear that only those who live a holy life will be admitted into the presence of the Lord. Non-dominant theologians Charles Ryrie and Zane C. Hodges, who claimed that MacArthur’s ministry was promoting a type of work-based salvation, questioned these beliefs in the literature, leading to conflict within American evangelism. When MacArthur was requested to “reason with the IFCA man”, MacArthur was asked to testify on two tapes that were produced in 1989 that he denied the allegation.
