Karnail Rana is an Indian Himachali singer. He is a very famous singer from Himachal Pradesh. His first cassette ‘Chambe Patne Do Bediyan’ came in the year 1989.

Karnail Rana was born on 30 April 1963 in Village Rakwal Lad, Upper Ghallour, Tehsil Jwalamukhi, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. He did his schooling from Government High School, Ghallour and completed his graduation from Himachal Pradesh University Shimla in 1986. Karnail Rana passed the vocal examination of folk music in B-grade from All India Radio Station, Shimla. He has also done his graduation in Journalism and Mass Communication from Kota, Rajasthan. Karnail Rana has won many hearts with his melodious voice. His father also had an interest in singing, so his interest developed in folk music as well. He is now settled in Subhash Nagar, Upper Sakoh, Dharamshala.

His debut album, ‘Chambe Patne Do Bediyan’ received appreciation from various people in 1994. After his first album, he sang for over 150 albums and became a star singer. He was appointed as an artist in Theater Unit in Himachal Pradesh Information and Public Relations Department in December 1988.
