Kunal started his career as a child artist with the television series Rajni as Master Kunal Kapoor, which was aired on Doordarshan channel in 1994. He starred in the teen drama TV serial, Remix as Varun on Star One from 2004 to 2006. Remake of Argentina’s Rebelde Way series. From 2006 to 2008, he played the lead role of a soldier named Cadet Yadhuvansh Sahni in the series Left Right Left on SAB TV. In 2008, she starred as Moni in the series Meet Mila De Rabba, and in 2007, she starred as Sukhi Singh in the series Maayka. He was cast as a villain named Angad Yadav in the long-running television show Mann Ki Awaaz Pratigya, a role he played in 2009 to prove his versatility.
In 2011, he got the lead role of Mohan Bhatnagar in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha aired on Colors TV. His appearance was praised by television industry professionals, media and audiences. His role was later portrayed as a symbol, and the show was named the cult spectacle. He played the role of Shaurya Urmi Sinha, a newspaper owner and editor-in-chief, in the series Doli Armano in 2015.
