Manika Batra was born on 15 June 1995 in a Hindu family in Delhi. His father’s name is Girish Batra and mother’s name is Sushma Batra. He has an elder brother Sahil Batra and a sister Aanchal Batra in the family. Batra completed his schooling from Hans Raj Model School, New Delhi. She attended Jesus and Mary College, New Delhi, but dropped out of college when she was in her first year to pursue a career in table tennis.

Batra started playing table tennis at the age of just 5. Later, she won a match at the state level finish in the Under-8 category and decided to take proper training. Batra started his training under the guidance of Sandeep Gupta.
In 2010, she won a gold medal in the South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championship. In 2011, he won a silver medal in the singles event at the Chile Open tournament. In the falling year, she won a silver medal in the Spanish Open singles event. At the age of 19, she became the first Indian table tennis female player to qualify for the quarter-finals at the Commonwealth Games.
Batra represented India several times including the 2020 Olympic Games, 2014 Commonwealth Games as well as the 2016 Asian Games. In 2016, he won 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal in the South Asian Games. Her most impressive win came at the 2018 Commonwealth Games when she defeated Singapore’s Yu Mengyu in the final to win the women’s singles gold medal.
