Manjari Phadnis is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Hindi films as well as Marathi and Telugu films. She is best known for her performance in the 2008 Hindi film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Her other notable films are Faltu (2006), Zokkomon (2011), Warning (2013), Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon (2015), and the short films Khamakha (2016) and Barot House (2019).

Manjari Phadnis was born on 10 July 1984 in a middle-class Hindu family in Mumbai, Maharashtra. His hometown is Pune, Maharashtra. His father’s name is Bharat Kumar Phadnis. He was an officer in the Indian Army. His mother’s name is Ruchi Phadnis.

Manjari did her schooling from St. Anne’s High School, Mumbai. She then moved to Pune for further studies where she completed her college at Ferguson College. She was very active in the modeling industry during her graduation.

Manjari made her film debut in 2004 as Suhana in Rok Sako To Rok Lo. She was also a part of the National Film Award winning Bengali feature film Phaltu in 2006 and Mumbai Salsa in 2007. Her first major breakthrough was as the lead role of Meghna in the film Jaane Tu..Ya Jaane Na (2008), for which she won Stardust. Award for Breakthrough Performance Female in 2009. The film was a box-office success and received acclaim from the audience and critics. After the successful film in 2008, she made her debut in Telugu films as Sailu opposite Siddu from Sikakulam.

Her first Telugu film Muthirai as Aarti in 2009. After that Manjari sang a Telugu song for the film Muthirai under the direction of Yukan Shankar Raja. In 2010, two of his films were released in Telugu Inkosari and Shubhapradham. She also acted as Gauri in the film Shakti. In 2012, she made her Kannada debut with the romantic drama film Munjaane, directed by S. Narayan opposed the actor Ganesh. Later, he starred in the Hindi film Grand Masti, which proved to be the highest-grossing Bollywood film of that year. She played the character of Tulsi alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani.

She then came as Juhi in the 2015 romantic comedy film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon. The film was successful at the box office. She acted as Vrushali in her first Marathi film Sarv Mangal Saavdhan opposite Rakesh Vashisht. His other notable movies are State of Siege: Temple Attack, Nirdosh, Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai etc.

Television

Manjari was first seen on television during the second season of the Indian version of the singing reality show Popstars, which was telecasted live on Channel V in 2003. She was the only participant to make it to the finals for the music band Asma. In 2009, she signed on to appear in a series of Onida television commercials.
