In 2007, Mukti made her acting debut with the short film Blood Brothers directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. After this, she appeared in an item number, I Love to Love You from the film Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster in 2011. Mukti did an item song titled Anti Mantharai in the movie Muran. Mukti made a special appearance in the song ‘Raat’ from Hate Story. He acted in an item song for the film Topiwala in 2013. In 2014, Mukti performed an item song titled Kambal Ke Neech, for the film Kaanchi: The Unbreakable. In 2017, Mukti appeared in a short film, Born Free, where he played Vanya.

In 2010, Mukti Mohan made her television debut as a contestant in the dance reality show Zara Nachke Dikha on Star Plus. Mukti won the show with her team Masakali Girls. In an interview, when she was asked about her debut in television, she said,

I am very excited to be a part of such a big reality show. Working with many celebrities is a challenge in itself and I would love to learn from them.

In 2013, she participated as a contestant in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Season 6, a dance reality show on Colors.

Mukti also participated in the show Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo as a contestant. He teamed up with Kapil Sharma and later won the comedy show. In 2015, Mukti appeared as a guest on the show Nach Baliye Season 7. Subsequently, in 2016, she participated as a contestant in the show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 7.
