In 2012, he started his career as a boxer and participated in various regional boxing championships. She won her first gold medal at the AIBA Youth Women’s World Boxing Championship (2017) held in Guwahati. In 2018, she defeated boxer Nillada Meekoon of Thailand and won a gold medal at the Asian Youth Boxing Championship. In 2019, he had to take rest for nearly two years after suffering a shoulder injury. In 2022, he participated in the 73rd Strandja Memorial Boxing Tournament held in Sofia, Bulgaria. In this, she won the gold medal by defeating Italy’s Priciandaro’s boxer 5-0. In an interview, Neetu talked about her comeback and winning the gold medal, she said,

I have heard that Strandja is one of the oldest boxing tournaments and I am very proud to have won gold for my country. Now, I want to go step by step this year. We have the World Championships and I want to focus on it and win gold there. I would like to sit down with (coach) Bhaskar Bhatt sir and other coaches to work on my strengths and weaknesses. I want to prepare there and do my best.”

In 2022, he defeated the Indian boxer marie como and qualified for the Commonwealth Games. Neetu Ghanghas’s stance is southeast, and her coaches are Bhaskar Bhatt and Jagdish Singh.

  • As a teenager, his father took him to the Bhiwani Boxing Club (BBC) in Haryana to start training in boxing. He risked his job to train with his daughter. In an interview, Neetu said,

    My father was on ‘leave without pay’ for my training for several days. They had to borrow money from their friends and relatives to meet family expenses.”

  • At the age of 15, he lost control while driving a two-wheeler and collided with a tractor. In this accident, he suffered an injury to his pelvic bone. Talking about the accident in an interview, he said,

    I was in a lot of pain. At first no one paid any attention to it, but then there came a time when I could not turn right.”

  • In 2016, she joined SAI National Boxing Academy, a boxing training academy in Rohtak, Haryana.
  • In 2019, instead of being left-handed, he started using his right hand to hit in boxing, which put a strain on his right arm. As a result, he had a grade 2 tear in his right shoulder. Talking about the shoulder injury during an interview, he said,

    I fought four fights in excruciating pain. My right hand was not used to that kind of load. Looking back, it was a silly mistake on my part. I never stopped exercising and continued to fight and take painkillers. But if you are a young, budding boxer who is eager to achieve something, you are overdoing it.”

    She stayed out of the national camp due to injury. Her training was also affected in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. In an interview, while talking about the same, she said,

    To be honest, I was in a very dark place. I thought about quitting boxing. I could never think clearly. When my shoulder got better, I gradually started training at home. Later, my father secretly took me to the academy during the lockdown. ,
