He has two siblings named Agnish Paul and Paranalekha Paul. His father wanted him to become a CA like him and was not in favor of the idea of becoming an actor.

Patralekha made her acting debut opposite Rajkummar Rao in the film Citylights (2014), directed by Hansal Mehta. The film was about a destitute Rajasthani couple who move to Mumbai in search of work. His low budget film was a commercial success and received favorable reviews from critics.
In 2016, she appeared in the urban thriller film Love Games, produced and directed by Mukesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt. Her next film was Nanu Ki Jaanu (2018), where she played the role of Siddhi in the horror comedy film.
