Beginning of his cinematic career

Saran Shakti made her debut in 2012. He was a part of a Tamil serial named Amudha Oru Acharyakuri. This serial was produced by a famous Tamil director K. Balachander did it. The TV serial Kalaignar used to air on TV. Later, in 2013, she made her debut as a child artist in the TV serial, Saran Se, Kadal.

The film was directed by noted director Mani Ratnam. Saran played the role of a child, who is known as Young Thomas. After his first film, Saran started getting offers to work as a child artist. In 2014, he starred in RT Neeson’s film Jila, where he portrayed the younger version of the actor, Thalapathy Vijay, in the lead role. In 2014, he was a part of 2 more films. These were Rummy and Sigaram Thodo. His performances in films in 2013 and 2014 landed him another role in a comedy thriller film Vai Raja Vai, where he played the role of a young Kartik.

In 2018, Saran had a breakthrough in her career; When he was offered a supporting role in a gangster film called Vada Chennai, where Saran played the younger brother of the lead lead actress, Aishwarya Rajesh. Well known actor Dhanush acted in this film.

In 2019, Saran Shakti got her first lead role in the film Saga; As a character known as Satya. Saga is a crime action film whose song became an instant hit among Yayam Saran fans. Though the film could not do well at the box office, Saran got the much-awaited break in her acting career.

Offered a role in the film Netrikanna

In 2021, Saran was offered a film titled Netrikan. The film is about a blind woman who tries to solve a criminal case herself. Saran played the role of a delivery boy who witnesses a crime. Saran played a supporting role in the film Netrikan, and the film was released on the OTT platform, Disney+ Hotstar.

The director was looking to cast someone in the film for the last three months. He considered a lot of Telugu and Kannada actors, but could not find any for the role. Later he saw Vada Chennai and was impressed with my performance and then called me five days before the shoot. Considering KGF to be a big hit, I was super kicked. It was a complete surprise to receive a call from another industry!”

The impression left on reality TV shows

In 2021, Saran Sakthi was a part of a Tamil reality TV show, Survivor (Season 1). Saran was one of the favorite contestants of the audience in the show. Saran made it to the season finale and was the first runner up in Season 1 of the show.

As a participant in the Tamil TV reality show, Survivor, Saran Shakti was accused of using a cellphone which she had borrowed from a crew member and it was against the rules of the show. Saran was reprimanded for breaking the rules, but was not disqualified from the show. Saran also accused the show’s winner Vijayalakshmi Firoz of using the phone, which could not be proved till date.
