  • According to Shiva, before getting into acting, he aspired to be a pilot. Later he wanted to become a police inspector. He talked about this in an interview and said,

    Mama Dwarka Shrestha was not the DSP. He had said that he would first become an assistant and then an inspector. But from the very beginning I wanted to become an inspector. There was a test in the British camp. Had I not been an artist, I would have been in Lahore today.”

    In Nepal they call me action star. My most popular movies are ‘Jeevan Rekha’, ‘Chino’, ‘Thuldai’, ‘Mankamna’ and others. The latest movie he acted in is ‘Prem Geet 3’. Till now I am enjoying acting in films. I play movies as long as I have breath.   • Shiv Shrestha has also appeared as an actor in several Pakistani Urdu films. In March 1985, she made her Bollywood debut with the Pakistani Urdu film ‘Humse Hai Zamana’. When I was in Biratnagar, I once wrestled with a wrestler from Gorakhpur. I also used to play football with RCT club in Kathmandu. Still I want to play the game but I can’t play. Now I watch football, wrestling and cricket more on TV.”

    Never smoke and never do. I am the son of a Newar. You can’t say you don’t know the test. But I don’t like to measure. Liquor is not kept in the house.”
