Sonakshi Kar was born on 10 June 2003 in Kolkata, West Bengal in a Bengali Hindu family. His father’s name is Ujjwal Kar and mother’s name is Shampa Kar. Sonakshi wanted to become a singer since childhood and she started learning music under Jayant Sarkar. He also took semi-classical training from Deep Chakraborty.
Sonakshi started her career in 2011 through Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs Bangla, a children’s singing reality show aired on Zee Bangla. In 2014 she participated in Indian Idol Junior, where she was among the top 6 contestants.
