Sudhir is an Indian para-powerlifter. He made headlines in August 2022 when he won a gold medal in the men’s heavyweight para powerlifting at the Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, England, for the first time in the history of India.

Sudhir started practicing powerlifting professionally in 2013. She participated in the Asian Para Games held in Indonesia where she won the gold medal in the 80kg category. Later, he was appointed as a senior coach with the Haryana Government. In 2018, during the 17th Senior and 12th Junior National Para Powerlifting Championships, he was awarded the title of “Strong Man of India”. In 2022, she participated in the Commonwealth Games where she lifted 208 kg in the first attempt and 212 kg in the second attempt. However, he failed to lift 217 kg in the third attempt. Upon winning the finals of the Para-Powerlifting Championships, he became the first Indian man to win a gold medal for India in powerlifting and set a record with his total of 134.5 points. He defeated his Nigerian rival Ikechukwu Obichuku by 0.9 points.
