Following in the footsteps of his father, Bagga joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) shakha at an early age. In an interview, his father revealed that he had a political awakening in Bagga’s RSS shakha, due to which Bagga dropped out of school after class 10 and took up active politics. In contrast, Bagga said that he dropped out of school to help his father with his clothing business. However, he later did the Undergraduate Preparatory Program (BPP) at the Indira Gandhi National Open University. He earned a Diploma in National Development Course at National Defense University (Republic of China), Taiwan in 2017.

Politics

At the age of 16, Bagga joined the Bharatiya Jan Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the youth wing of the BJP, and later became its secretary. In 2017, Bagga was appointed as the spokesperson of Delhi BJP. He is also associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the parent organization of the BJP. In the 2020 Delhi Assembly elections, Bagga contested from the Hari Nagar assembly seat on a BJP ticket, but lost the election.

Operation Prashant Bhushan

In 2011, Bagga, along with a group of friends, broke into the chambers of Supreme Court lawyer and activist Prashant Bhushan and attacked him for supporting a plebiscite in Kashmir. Apparently, Bagga was working under a vigilante group called Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena (BSKS), which included Vishnu Gupta and Inder Verma. A few hours before the attack, Bagga had tweeted,

May God give us the strength to fulfill our mission.”

After the attack, he took credit for it and tweeted,

He tries to break my country, I try to break his head. Account paid. Greetings to all. Operation Prashant Bhushan was successful.”

He later added,

We gave a tough fight to Prashant Bhushan in his chamber in the Supreme Court. If you try to break my country, I will break your head.

After this, Bagga was arrested along with Vishnu Verma from a place near Baba Kharak Singh Marg in Delhi.

The Uttarakhand Congress filed a complaint against Bagga with the Election Commission after projecting former Uttarakhand CM Harish Rawat and other Congress leaders as Muslim leaders for promising a Muslim university in the state, claiming that his tweet The aim was to create communal discord. In December 2021, Bagga filed a defamation suit against Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy alleging that Swamy, in his tweet on 28 September 2021, had claimed that Bagga had been convicted of petty crimes in Mandir Marg police station area before joining the BJP. Was sent to jail several times. Rejecting the allegations, Bagga said that they had come out with the intention of harming and harming his reputation on the internet. Thereafter, Bagga sent a legal notice to Swamy on 1 October 2021, warning that if he failed to apologize to Bagga within seven days, he would legally proceed against him. Following this, the Punjab Police team was stopped in Haryana by the local police, who handed over Bagga to the Delhi Police. Later, Bagga was released after being produced before a magistrate. Bagga then approached the Punjab and Haryana High Court against the non-bailable arrest warrant issued against him. The HC stayed his arrest till May 10, 2022. In addition, Chetan Mittal, representing Bagga, was also protected from coercive action.
