• He was born in a poor family and lived in a slum.

• When he was in school, his classmates used to tease him as Batliya and Dwarf. Talking about this in an interview, he said,
  

  I am a professional dancer and choreographer. I didn’t know in my childhood that there could be a problem with my height. When I was growing up in my teens, I started having problems. People used to call me ‘Batalia’ (a dwarf in Marathi). People will make fun of being a dwarf. I came to know that day that my height is not like others. People used to come home to give me work in the circus but my father said a big ‘no’. My parents are old and they cannot work at this stage of their life. So, I decided to go out and work. I worked as a clown for a few years and people used to laugh at me. Later I realized this as my strong side. ,

• In his teens, to support his family financially, he started working as a delivery boy for a bank in Mumbai.

• He then decided to perform as a dancer and earn money for his family. His first performance was on the Hindi song “Mujhko Yaad Sataye Teri” from ‘Phir Hera Pheri’ (2006), for which he received Rs 2000.

• He is a dancer as well as an actor. She has acted in Hindi TV serials like ‘Chandramukhi’ (2007), ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (2008), and ‘Gutur Gu’ (2010).

• He has played cameo roles in some Hindi films like ‘Naksha’ (2006), ‘Jaan-E-Mann’ (2006), ‘Agneepath’ (2012), and ‘Dabangg 2’ (2012).

• His mother wanted him to see Vikas perform in the TV show. In 2009, he auditioned for the Colors TV show ‘India’s Got Talent’ and got selected. He collaborated with a dance group for the TV show.
