In 1999, she was featured in the Hindi music video ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’ Falguni Pathak, During an interview, she shared how she got her first modeling assignment and music video. He said,

I attended an inter-collegiate event where Lewis was looking for jeans models. I have been chosen by them. During that time the casting director of a video (which director Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru was doing for Falguni Pathak). I got Rs 4,000 for a video, which was enough.”

After that he appeared in a few more Hindi music videos. In 2001, he participated in the Grasim Mr India contest and won the title. After working as a model for a few years, he got tired of it and headed towards theatre. Talking about this in an interview, he said,

I had been modeling for about three-five years and was tired of it. It was getting a bit stale for me, walking up and down the ramp, changing clothes, was not inspiring me. It really wasn’t stable enough for me; I wanted to do something that would inspire me more. So, I started doing theatre, and understanding acting and seeing what I could do on stage really made a difference. ,

Later, he was spotted by the team of Balaji Telefilms in one of his music videos. The team offered him a TV serial, but it went cold. In 2004, he was again called for a TV serial by Balaji Telefilms. He accepted the offer and made his debut with the popular Hindi TV serial ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, in which he played the role of Abhishek. Some of her other Hindi TV serials are ‘Vaidehi’ (2006), ‘Chand Ke Paar Chalo’ (2008), ‘Pyaar Ka Bandhan’ (2009), and ‘Sanskar Laxmi’ (2011).

After working in some TV serials, he left acting in TV serials. During an interview, he shared the reason for this. He said,

I was almost reaching the top of the ladder and the only name ahead of me was Ronit Roy. I turned down and declined some offers because it wasn’t taking me anywhere. And at that point, an abrupt shift was taking place, where a lot of people who worked on television moved to movies and left us with a disapproval of small-town actors who were too disrespectful and didn’t speak very well. I just felt like this was no longer the place for me. I also lost a lot of work in television. I’ve had many fights to get the right screen space on television; There were people who were defaming me. I couldn’t find work, and eventually, lost a lot of work. But I made sure it didn’t weigh me down. I went to movies, but yes, I had a very tough time as no one was willing to give me a part in anything. And for five years, I had to sit at home and do nothing, it was very difficult.

He then worked as an anchor and VJ with MTV channel to meet his financial expenses. In 2016, she participated in the TV reality show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7’ as a contestant.
