After earning a degree in broadcast journalism, Jiang began her career as a reporter for WBOC-TV in Salisbury, Maryland. From 2008 to 2012, he worked at WJZ-TV in Baltimore. From 2012 to 2015, Jiang worked as a general assignment reporter and fill-in anchor for WCBS-TV in New York, which covered major events such as the Boston Marathon bombings, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, and Hurricane Sandy.
